It has been a little long time since Kenwood released a new Media Keg DAP but now the waiting has been justified because Kenwood has just introduced in Japan the MG-G608 series in June 2011 .

When you first think about Kenwood, the first thing that may came to your mind may be fare from being a DAP (Mp3 player), and despite the lack of line-up update, Kenwood may have one of the best Mp3 player ever made in Japan with the Media Keg Series, well at least for people who takes music and sound seriously.

Kenwood MG-G608 Series features 8GB storage and comes with the microSDHC Card slot nut also Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR.

  Sold with both Japanese and English UI, the MG-G608 comes with a 2” Color TFT Screen, a 19h battery life (MP3) support of MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV files in just 55g and a size of 46.5×98.5×13.5mm.

 Although the unit is produced and sold only in Japan , the operating system is changeable between Japanese and English. Built-in 8GB memory allows user to store music but with an additional microSD input (compatible with microSDHC), you can store up to another 16GB of media files (video playback not supported). Onboard Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR enables direct Bluetooth playback with Bluetooth devices.

One of the most uniquew features to Kenwood is the Class-W Digital Headphone Amp which extends the frequency response while reduce energy consumption, producing up to 19 hours of playback time with a single 1.5hour charge (full charge).
