The Homestar is Sega's top-line range of "21st Century Home Planetarium" projectors.

With over 120,000 stars (!) in the sky over Japan , the crispness, the realness, and the beauty of the images have been hugely improved on from previous models, ensuring that this is the sharpest and most awe-inspiring home planetarium out there.

The recommended retail price for the Homestar Extra is JPY60,900, but we are able to sell it for an almost wholesale price of JPY48,300!

The Homestar Extra includes exclusive additional sheets depicting the Orion sky.

Main characteristics of the Sega Homestar Extra Planetarium

·        It can be used clearly in a room which is not completely dark. It used a 14W ultrabright LED, which is 5x brighter than previous models, so it doesnt need pitch-blackness.

·        The lens and star sheets are a completely new design, producing a more real and beautiful sky.

·        You can gaze at over 120,000 stars from your living room (using the mono-color sheets). This is the first home planetarium to show over 100,000 stars! These are made up by over 45,000 stars (to the 8th magnitude), and the stars that make up the milky way (approx. 75,000).

·        You can now program the Homestar Extra through the remote control to show the sky as it is on any day you choose. Your birthday sky for example!
- It also has a 3-speed setting, 16 different light settings, and a 3-setting timer for while you are asleep.
